Culture Day at the St. Gallen University of Teacher Education (PHSG)
On Wednesday, September 2, the eleventh Culture Day of the St. Gallen University of Teacher Education (PHSG) will take place in cooperation with the Office of Culture and kklick. As they begin their teacher training, more than 300 students will experience the diversity and appeal of the cultural scene. In 21 workshops, they’ll get to know regional artists and institutions and have the chance to express their creativity—from dance and graffiti to yodeling. The open art museum will also be participating, introducing students to the museum’s building, its art collection, and its art education programs.
With Culture Day, the PHSG emphasizes the importance of cultural education in schools right from the start of the program. It is designed to inspire students to engage with their cultural environment and to apply these experiences professionally in their future teaching careers. It also offers students an opportunity to network with one another and make their first connections.
