Carnival of the Mythical Creatures
29. November 2026An unconventional mix of theatre, mask play and live music.
“Carnival of the Mythical Creatures” – A Night at the Museum takes place in a museum. What could be more fitting than a performance in a real museum?
COMEDYexpress remains true to its tradition, once again offering audiences an unconventional mix of theater, mask work, and live music in its new original production. With Julian Schefcik-Weisser, the ensemble boasts a virtuoso musician/technician who expertly underscores the scenes with expressive music and fitting lighting. But this time, COMEDYexpress doesn’t stop at acting; they’ve also created their own artwork, which will be presented to the audience at the concluding vernissage.
Excitement is running high at one of the most prestigious museums in German-speaking Switzerland. Tomorrow is the opening of the special exhibition “Carnival of Mythical Creatures.” But after a turbulent night, nothing is as it was before. It’s not just the delayed delivery of the catwalk for the planned fashion show that’s causing a stir; the valuable exhibit on loan to the Guggenheim Museum in New York hasn’t yet arrived. And what are the two environmental activists up to who snuck into the museum disguised as chefs? To make matters worse, three bank robbers, who actually intended to rob the neighboring UBS bank and accidentally ended up in the museum, are also causing considerable confusion. One mishap follows another, and everyone is anxiously wondering whether Councillor Dr. D. Kurzweiler will be able to open the exhibition on time.
