Journeys experienced, read about, remembered, imagined, idealized, and real: this is what the drawings, paintings, and objects in the exhibition Voyage Voyage.

Travel is more than just a change of location: it is the source and driving force behind artistic work. The works are created during these journeys, spring from memories of them, or are shaped by the experiences gathered there. At the heart of this collection exhibition are the travel drawings by Brida Lazzarino (1911–1993). She accompanied her husband on business trips and captured their stops in small-format drawings. Instead of well-known landmarks and cityscapes, she depicts her personal vantage point: the intimate view from her hotel room out into the world.

Featuring Francois Burland (1958), Hans Hürlimann (1922–2007), Paul Kupschina (1922–2008), Brida Lazzarino (1911–1993), Francis Mayor (1904–1995), Jakob Rümbeli (1887–1963).
